seats) at the standing-room-only “exciting and enlightening” (The
Washington Post) concerts is with a season subscription. A new
custom series option, comprised of 5 concerts of your choice, is

FLEXIBILITY – Subscription and Custom
Series tickets may be exchanged for tickets to another 2008-2009
National Philharmonic subscription concert (subject to
availability). Exchanges must be made at least 48 hours prior to
the subscription concert for which tickets are held. Exchange your
tickets in person directly through the Strathmore Ticket Office or
by mail.

The Chamber Orchestra Series, Piotr
Gajewski, conductor, includes concerts featuring pianist Brian Ganz and
guest conductor Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk on
October 18, 2008; violists
Miles Hoffman on January 31, 2009; guitarist Manuel Barrueco on
February
28, 2009; and violinist Nicolas Kendall on
April 11, 2009.
The Choral Masterworks Series, Stan Engebretson, conductor,
includes concerts featuring Orff’s Carmina Burana on
November 22, 2008;
Handel’s Messiah on December 6, 2008; Mozart’s
Requiem on
March 14,
2009; and Berlioz’s Requiem on
June 13, 2009.
The Symphonic Blockbusters, Piotr Gajewski, conductor, includes
concerts featuring violinist Mariusz Patyra on
October 4 or 5, 2008;
pianist Brian Ganz on January 10 or 11, 2009; violinist Cho-Liang Lin on
April 25 or 26, 2009; and violinist Soovin Kim on
May 30 or 31, 2009.
The Philharmonic Opera is Bizet’s Carmen on
February 7, 2009.
